Converse Fastbreak Pro Mid Shoes
Requested by the CONS team, Converse have reintroduced their Fastbreak Pro Mid with skate-focused features to deliver a high level of comfort and protection during all day sessions. Decorated with archival basketball-inspired details, the mid-top silhouette is made from durable wolf grey coloured nylon with matching tone leather overlays around the front of the toes, edge of the laces and back of the heel. On either side of the foot signature star and chevron emblems have been cut from white leather which matches the border of the ankle that has a wider navy section above a white border. The thin lace up fastening is held in place by colour matched metal eyelets which sit upon the nylon tongue where a woven ‘Converse CONS’ label has been added and a wolf grey rubberised border neatens the top edge. The rubber outsole is made from CONS traction rubber and has been applied using a vulcanised method for strength. Completing the design, the tread pattern incorporates a selection of patterns to deliver a high level of grip for wear across a variety of terrains.
Introduced in 1983 the Converse Fastbreak offered a lightweight and flexible shoe in comparison to others on the market at the time. Made popular by Michael Jordan on the court, the design was a hit and became a go-to for the sport. Remaining true to the designs original aesthetic, new fabrics have been selected for a modernised, high quality finish whilst the lightstone colourway presents a distinctive retro look.
