Nike SB x Polar Blazer Low GT Shoes
LIMITED TO ONE PAIR PER PERSON
The back to basics Nike SB x Polar collaboration presents the Blazer Low GT through the eyes of the Swedish based skate brand. The summit white upper has been made from a durable suede, complemented by crisp white detailing on the cotton laces and midsole. A navy leather swoosh decorates the lateral panels, joining at the heel underneath an embroidered Polar logo on the heel tab. The woven tongue label showcases a mash-up of the two brands, with Polar’s stroke logo layered over the top of the iconic Nike swoosh.
The low-profile silhouette draws on a heritage design from the seventies, providing flexibility in the silhouette with a vulcanised construction. Suede trims have been added to the front of the side panels to reinforce high stress areas, improving longevity. A cushioned sockliner has been added to ensure greater impact resistance, while a herringbone pattern on the outsole offers multidirectional tread.
The Blazer was officially considered a basketball sneaker by Nike from its release as a hightop in 1972, this was until 2005 when pro skateboarder Lance Mountain announced the development of the Blazer SB - adding padding to the tongue and a Nike Zoom Air sockliner. It’s been an instant choice for countless collaborations, and once again it doesn’t fail.
